The judge hand wrote a directive that her ruling be sent to President Obama
Ingham County Circuit judge Rosemarie Aquilina has ruled that Detroit's bankruptcy filing be withdrawn.
In her ruling, she told assistant Attorney General Brian Devlin that the filing was "not honoring the president".
She ruled that 'Emergency Mangager Orr intended to diminish or impair accrued pension benfits' which would be a violation of the law.
Governor Rick Snyder is appealing the judge's decision.
