The woman claims the car was abandoned there three years ago by her former boyfriend

(FOX 32 News) - Often, when couples break up, there's a nasty fight to claim ownership of things like automobiles.
Now, we're hearing for the first time from the defendant in a case where both sides are trying to prove that they don't own a car.
Nobody wants to admit to being the owner of the 1998 Monte Carlo because whoever owns the car also may also owe the city of Chicago $106,000 in parking tickets. As FOX 32 News first reported last week, the tickets have piled up over the last three years, while the car was parked in Parking Lot E at O'Hare.
The car's title is in the name of Jennifer Fitzgerald, but she filed a lawsuit claiming the car was abandoned there three years ago by her former boyfriend, Brandon Preveau, who is a United Airlines employee.
