(Daily Mail) -- A youth soccer coach with the New York Red Bulls was found dead on a New York City sidewalk in a gory, early morning stabbing so brutal the victim's severed ear was left in a puddle of blood.
The body of Michael Jones, 25, was found at 4:25am lying near the corner of 14th Street and 5th Avenue slashed multiple times through both the neck and chest, police said, his ear lying a few feet away.
