One man was killed and two more people were injured around 11 a.m. On Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection at Ohio 95 and Ohio 203 west of Marion.
George T. Underwood age 40 was driving a light blue and white 1992 Chevrolet 3500 pickup truck west along Ohio 95 when he struck the oncoming traffic on the passenger side. The truck spun into a ditch off the northwest corner of the intersection and ended facing east.
The northbound driver Joel R. Crosley age 21 from Washington Court House, was driving a dark blue 2003 Dodge Ram pick-up truck. After crossing over a set of railroad tracks on Ohio 203 and coming down an incline, the driver and his brother, 21-year-old James B. Crosley, were struck in the intersection. Their truck was also pushed into the northwest corner field coming to rest several feet away from Underwood’s truck.
It was reported that the brothers were responsive at the scene but sustained injuries. Joel Crosley had non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Marion General Hospital by Ambulance. James Crosley was transported to Grant Medical Center by MedFlight with serious injuries.
George T. Underwood was pronounced dead on the scene.
The crash remains under investigation. It is not believed drugs, alcohol or texting were factors in the crash.
