Saturday is National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, and there are about 270 sites throughout Ohio where Ohioans can safely dispose of unwanted prescription drugs.
Here are several local drop off locations (10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at all locations):
-Behind the Marion County building at 222 W. Center St. in Marion.
-Fairgrounds at 195 S. Main St. in Mount Gilead.
-Sheriff's office at 3613 Stetzer Rd. in Bucyrus
-Galion Community Hospital at 269 Portland Way South in Galion.
-Sheriff's office at 125 E. Wyandot Ave. in Upper Sandusky.
-Sycamore Police Dept. at 134 N. Sycamore Ave. in Sycamore.
-Carey Police Dept. at 127 N. Vance St. in Carey.
-Ohio Northern University at 500 S. Main St. in Ada.
-Hardin Memorial Hospital at 921 E. Franklin St. in Kenton.
-Union County Sheriff's office at 221 W. Fifth St. in Marysville.
-Grady Memorial Hospital at 561 W. Central Ave. in Delaware.
-Powell Police Dept. at 47 Hall St. in Powell.
-Ohio Health Westerville Medical Campus at 300 Polaris Parkway in Westerville.
Residents CAN bring:
-Prescription medicines of any kind
-Over the counter medications
-Medicated ointment and lotions
-Liquid medications in leak proof containers
Residents CANNOT bring:
-Needles, syringes, lancets
-Thermometers, aerosol cans
-IV bags, Hydrogen peroxide
-Bloody or infectious waste
-Personal hygiene products
