Have you been wondering what shape Marion is in as we settle into 2013? Mayor Scott Schertzer is devlivering his annual state of the city address this evening, January 28, and you are invited to attend.

The message will be delivered right after Marion City Council holds its regular weekly meeting at 7:30 P.M. on the second floor of city hall.

Tonight's council meeting should be fairly short as the only item on the agenda is a discussion regarding the city's request to the Marion County Commissioners for the city's share of the automobile license tax. The council must decide which projects that money will go toward.

City council meets every Monday at 7:30 P.M. at city hall; all meetings are open to the public.
