COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Ohio's unemployment rate has dropped slightly.

The state Department of Job and Family Services says the seasonally adjusted jobless rate in fell to 7 percent in September after three consecutive months at 7.2 percent

It's the last update on job numbers that Ohio voters will see before the election.

Additional statewide labor force figures are also due out this morning.

The state's unemployment rate remains below the national rate. The U.S. unemployment rate dropped to 7.8 percent in September from 8.1 percent in August.

Gov. John Kasich (KAY'-sihk) downplayed Ohio's job numbers last month, warning of a possible economic slowdown.
