The local chapter of the National Alliance of Mental Illness, known as NAMI, is hosting an open house this evening (Oct. 2nd), and you are invited. The event is set to take place from 6-9 pm in Maynard Hall at the Ohio State University at Marion campus. Just go to the Guthery Community Room on the second floor. The chapter strives to provide support for families who have experienced mental illness, and the point of the open house to give the community an opportunity to learn more about the programs. The events that NAMI offers are free to anyone in the community affected by mental illness. Suzanne Robinson, who serves as director of programs for NAMI Ohio, is scheduled to be the featured speaker for this evening’s open house.
