The Ohio State Bar Association’s Commission on Judicial Candidates has released its evaluation of candidates seeking election this year to the Supreme Court of Ohio. Two are "highly recommended" - that being Justice Yvette McGee Brown and Justice Robert R. Cupp, meaning they received favorable votes from at least 70-percent of the members. The "recommended" rating went to three, in Justice Terrence O’Donnell and candidates William O’Neill and Michael J. Skindell; that means they would perform "satisfactorily" in the opinion of the commission. The only candidate who was not recommended was Judge Sharon Kennedy, meaning that according to the bar association’s judicial commission, the candidate is not well suited to perform as a justice on the state’s highest court.
