Your chance to make scarecrows, paint pumpkins and ride ponies comes tomorrow (September 29) with the 27 th annual Applefest. There will be a bunch of free, family-friendly activities to enjoy at the fall festival, taking place at Lawrence Orchards, located a couple of miles south of Marion. Some of the events will come with a small cost, but such offerings as the petting farm, hay maze and horse-drawn wagon-rides are free. Lots of treats will be on hand, including brats, fudge and cider.
