A drug dropoff is scheduled for this weekend. The Medication Disposal Day starts at 10 tomorrow (September 29) morning and runs until 2 in the afternoon. Residents can bring old or unused medication to the rear parking lot of the Marion County Building located at 222 W. Center Street. The service is free, and no questions will be asked. Law-enforcement officers say that proper disposal can help prevent addiction, overdoses and drug-related crimes. Among the items that will be accepted: pills, lotions, liquids and syringes. All containers will be recycled, and identities will be protected.
