Students at Cardington High School are selling bracelets and teachers are raising money for a Pirates cheerleader who underwent surgery yesterday to remove a brain tumor. Some students also shaved their heads in tribute to their friend, senior Courtney Robinson. Principal Joseph Mills said he heard that students at other area schools were wearing purple to show support for Courtney, who had a seizure after Friday’s football game. Students and staff gathered in the Cardington High gymnasium yesterday to hold a rally in support of Courtney.
