The Samboree camping experience is coming to the Marion County Fairgrounds this weekend, and some 300 campers are expected to participate. The Ohio Good Sam Club’s fall Samboree will be held this Friday through Sunday (Sept. 14-16) and features a variety of activities, including planned tours to wineries, museums and local businesses and a golf scramble at a local course. Lots of contests, games and various forms of entertainment are planned on the camping grounds. The cost is 45-dollars for the three main stays. Samborees feature big-rig camping. No tent-camping is permitted. Non-camping guests are welcome on the grounds during the day for activities, and a guest pass costs 6-bucks. Most campers are retired or are close to retirement age but campers of all ages are welcome.
