The 32nd annual Miss Marion Popcorn Scholarship Program will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Grant Middle School gymnasium. The contestants must be single, high-school graduates and no older than 24. They’ll compete in talent, interview, evening wear, popcorn wear and an onstage question. The winner will receive a scholarship worth 1,000-dollars along with a crown, banner and prize package. The "Ms. Marion Popcorn" also will be named, and that competition is open to ladies who are single or married and ages 25 or older. The winners will be featured throughout the Marion Popcorn Festival. Admission to tomorrow’s competition is 10-dollars for adults and 5-bucks for children ages 10 and younger.
