Marion police and the US Marshall Service report that they haved arrested two murder suspects, although neither murder occurred in Marion. Investigators from Detroit and Cleveland learned that the suspects were hiding out in the Marion area, trying to avoid authorities. One of the suspects is Timothy M. Sanders of Detroit, found at a residence on North State Street. Sanders is accused in a weekend homicide in Detroit. Sanders was taken to the Multi-County jail, awaiting extradition back to Michigan. The other suspect, Latiss Irons of Cleveland, was found by Marion police in the 900-block of Paula Drive and arrested without incident. Irons is suspected in the shooting death of a 14-year-old girl in Cleveland.
