The city of Ontario could be getting a publicly financed aquatic center. Officials are determining how much millage would be needed to build and run an aquatic center at Marshall Park. The council will then vote on whether to place the issue on the November ballot. The town used to have the Ontario Pool, located off Lexington-Springmill Road, but it closed more than a decade ago. To get on this year’s ballot, the city would have to submit paperwork by next month to the Richland County Board of Elections.
