In light of the recent storm damage, Safety Director Tom Robbins has issued a warning to all Marion residents that companies and individuals are in the area offering to handle repair and replacement services for homeowners. Robbins notes that all solicitors are required to be registered with the Marion Safety Directors Office prior to canvassing the city; they also must wear a city-issued photo ID badge indicating the name of their company. If you are contacted by a non-registered solicitor, you are urged to contact the Marion Police Department at 387-2525. If you’re a resident who would like to be placed on a "Do NOT Solicit List," you may contact the Safety Directors office at 387-5865 to register your home address.
