The Richland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a case in which a 13-year-old boy is accused of shooting a 50-year-old man. Scott Ernsberger was taken to Grant Medical Center in Columbus early yesterday morning after being shot multiple times in the back and in the back of the head. The shooting occurred in the 4000-block of Lucas-Perrysville Road in Perrysville, and when deputies arrived, Ernsberger was found lying on the ground with his upper body under his vehicle. The teenager accused in the shooting was taken into custody at the scene. Authorities have not yet said whether Ernsberger and the juvenile knew each other prior to the shooting.
